To make sure I've got this right-- your husband has SPG Gold status but has not linked it to his Marriott account, therefore he has no Marriott status. And the room is booked in your name and you have no Marriott status?
You're setting yourself up for a huge disappointment or argument at check in.
Even if he matches his account, the reservation is in your name not his. If you want to get lounge access without any hassles, link his accounts and rebook the reservation in his name. Otherwise be prepared to duke it out with the front desk...and likely lose.
