Easily fixed if VA/DL wanted to compete but they are happy to have a cash cow on this route; same for UA. Competition will be no better without the AA/QF JV, all that changes is lack of co-ordination and more inefficiency. Probably QF will abandon SFO again but I predict 787 service MEL-DFW as the 2nd route after 787 PER-LHR. We'll see. Good job for HA to file such a strenuous objection, hopefully they will expand their services to Oz.
