I always used to experience being uncomfortably hot and have often asked the crew to turn the temperature down, but my 5 longhaul flights with BA this year have been fine on a mixture of A380, 777-300, 747 and 789 aircraft. I agree with Prospero in that the cabin is still very warm when boarding, but does cool down after a bit.
