Probably a stupid question, though quite new to the Avios hobby, I've just been approved for a BA Amex card [the blue one] so would imagine that just by continual use of the credit card and accruing Avios then this would count as keeping my Avios active and, therefore, no expiration date by default?


I'm also on the verge of applying for an Amex Gold just for the bonus and then cancel and churn again in six months.
