I've been lucky this year, even though I probably have the worst record as a DM at 1/3 -- though with my trip to ATL between Xmas and New Years I expect to fall to 1/5

Lucky? Well so far I've used 3 GUCs to upgrade my outbound TATL trips. All the domestic portions cleared (though one LAX-JFK was at the gate). And I had two returns thru JFK so I used RUCs to upgrade JFK-LAX.

Then two of my ATL trips had "reasonable" FCM fares/buyups (did some cash, some miles).

Also managed to snag decent Z fares for two of my trips (about $400 over a Y ticket!) so no worries about upgrades.

My one medallion upgrade was a MSP-LAX portion of a TATL trip. The two misses were LAX-ATL and back.

It may get worse -- I am flying LAX-PDX-AMS-TXL on Thursday -- upgraded PDX-AMS with GUC and LAX-PDX hasn't cleared. Return is AMS-MSP-LAX with my last GUC and MSP-LAX hasn't cleared either.
