Sometimes the crew actually appreciate the 'feedback' as they spend more time near the doors during sleepy time and it is a lot cooler there. I have been told once or twice that they do not mind it being mentioned.
Perhaps the more experienced crews (like BBB) know what the problem can be and don't simply look at the gauge.
Well, for me a thing is to say "is it hot here, isn't it?" and a very different other is "Could you please turn the temp down"?
Then maybe the difference it's all in my head
