Not necessarily. I've used some airport lounge showers which do not provide towels or soap or shampoo. I always carry a small towel and some soap in my carry on.
My post was specifically in response to what is now Post #20, before a new thread was merged with an existing one. That post was specifically about the lounges to which the poster has access with a (most likely Platinum or Centurion) AmEx. In that context, I stand by my statement.
I understand that it may have been difficult to sort this out after the threads were merged, though.
