There are no specific tracks set aside for Acela trains but those are the most direct entryways to the Amtrak waiting room. You stand by there until the track for your train is announced on the big display board, typically 8 to 10 minutes before departure time.
+1. And then don't wait in line with the noobs, but go down the staircases in the middle and enter the train without lines or obstruction on the mid-level staircases.
If you know what you are doing around the rat race maze that is NYP, you can arb the lines easily.
