The inconvenience started for you on 16th when Pres. Obama arrived evening time at the hotel and continued till your checkout at - if I calculate right, 4 night stay - 18th (when he had left early to participate morning time at a meeting with the European leaders at Merkelīs office before flying to Peru).
IMHO Adlon ows you the rates for those two nights plus should grant a compensation for spoiling your stay, regardless if their hands were tied in this case or not, you have been a paying guest. I also think they could have handled the situation better in favour of the guests.
