Bookings made with NZ are created and stored in our proprietary reservations system, called CARINA.
CARINA is ancient - it actually stands for 'Computer And Reservations In National Airways', referring to NAC, the domestic predecessor, who purchased the system a long long time ago (1970s I believe), and the scope to develop such niceities as viewing itineraries online, etc, is limited.
The CEO, Ralph Norris, has been very enthusiastic about the idea of a new reservations system - let's hope something comes of it - CARINA is very very difficult to use (a simple reissue with additional collection of an eticket can take up to 15 minutes!).
