Just throwing this out there...

Norwegian fly Gatwick-Oakland for under £1k in their Y+ product (which is closer to J- by all accounts).

Or WestJet's plus product is about £1100 LGW-YYC.

Neither are flat beds, but you're going to save a lot of effort over heading to Cairo first!

Or Aer Lingus fly Dublin-YYZ-YYC or YVR for under £1800. Genuine question but just how cheap were you looking for this to be?
