Just a heads up that the arrivals boards are all being replaced. As of Wednesday, the only old arrivals board remaining was the one at the base of the 8th Ave/31st St. entrance. All of the other old arrivals boards have been removed. There are beautiful new arrivals boards at the base of the mid-block entrance between 7th and 8th Avenues, as well as one near the Amtrak ticket windows. I did not see any arrivals boards on the mezzanine level. That said, although the new arrivals boards have a column to show arrival track location, in the 30 minutes or so that I was there on Wednesday (waiting for my daughter to arrive on an Acela from Boston), I only saw one arrival track listed. It's possible that this is because it was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and Penn Station was as chaotic as I've ever seen it, but it could also mean that this great hack finally has come to an end. Updated reports are welcome.
