I wonder what would happen with a PIN-preferring card. Would they force fallback or attempt bypass? The pumps even have stickers saying "Debit card users, please see cashier for secure PIN entry", but I don't know how that can happen with the terminals on the other side. I know of another Exxon with customer-facing PIN pads, so I might stop by and buy some gum to see if they have contactless. They're all on the locator now, so it might be a possibility.
