The security check at Shannon wasn't too bad for us. A charter 747 of US Military en route home for Thanksgiving arrived at the same time as us and were held back until all of us had been processed. However pre-clearance was a bit of a joke with one agent for GE and the Business/First passengers and 5 other agents processing an EI flight. It seemed that there were a few problems with LCY bags hence clearance took almost 30 mins. The agent politely said if the airlines want a dedicated line for J pax and there are a lot of problems processing them it will take longer to process.
On speaking to the Captain in the baggage reclaim and telling him how great the flight was and how good it was to get it in before it was demised and he advised me that he thought the BA1/2 would be around to stay otherwise they would have pulled the route altogether. I asked what they were going to do with the other frame and he said Washington was the most popular rumour.
IAD would be great for Farage to shuffle back and forth between meeting's with Thesesa May and Donald Trump as UK Ambassador to the USA = ))
