The TK chef seemed to be mostly for show and the meals were not as great as I expected. One one leg or four long flights I was offered the fresh egg which came sort of shirred in a ceramic cup. I assume it was done in the over. It was actually horrid, the white was still completely liquid.

On UA and I think most carriers, the premium meals come preportioned in aluminum containers that go in the oven. When ready they,re plated on china and garnished. Soup is similarly heated in a single container and then put into bowls. The process actually takes the FAs a fair amount of time.
