I notice you get a better price the further you can commit to booking in advance but there's one option that lets you book up to 4 hours before. Will it let you book any flight that has seats available as long as you book by the deadline or is it tied to a lower fare bucket meaning that you may have difficulty obtaining tickets at the last minute?
Yes they earn avios and TPs.
Exact fare bucket depends on exactly how short your advanced purchase element is. I bought one for 30 days notice and they book in to L class, so I am effectively paying the same price as an O class booking made on ba.com but now getting 10 TPs and more avios.
For those who selected the shorter notice periods I believe they are going in the 20 TP booking classes (B I think). There is discussion of this in the flight pass thread linked to above.
