you get anywhere between 1-5 tier points for each flight you take with jet....it all depends on which class or fare bucket your ticket is in....for example, a cheap economy ticket will be 1 tier point whereas a full fare economy ticket will be 3 tier points....similarly, a cheap business ticket will be 3 tier points while a full fare ticket will be 4 tier points....a first class flight will always be 5 tier points....there is a fast track method here but in general taking the standard method into consideration, you need 20 tier points to get to silver status, 40 for gold & 60 for platinum....
