For long haul service their facilities to do the catering service is it's too small. They told me their space is really tight and not functional. This seems to make sense as I though the dinner service took forever. Food would come out in waves... first 3 rows had food and then I sat there for 15 - 20 minutes waiting for mine in row 4.

A neighbor who works for AA told me, from his feedback the crews hate the 787-9 for long haul.

I had a much better experience on the 787-8 out of LAX to GRU. Like I said I love the business class seat, but beyond that I was not impressed with the 787-9.
