Hello all, new to posting but have a question that has been bothering me. We used United Airlines Points to book Star Alliance flights (on Lufthansa and Air Canada) Denver to Frankfurt for May 2017 with economy seats. Now we would like to pay (don't have enough points) to get economy plus or better seats. All 3 airlines are giving me the run around game as to who is in charge of changes and which airline to call to make these changes. One even said the other airlines are being lazy and UA says they can't see the other airlines seats. Could someone please explain to me this process, if I need to use code words, if there is a written rule of which airline can and will make the changes? I appreciate any of your wise insight.
