How much pressure was he put under to move, having an "emotional" passenger wanting him to do so? Was he happy to move from the upper deck to the lower deck? Was the seat he was moving to better than the one he was being asked to vacate?
Being seated apart from your other half on a relatively short overnight flight might be a little disappointing, but it's hardly something to get upset about. With the greatest of respect, I think you might be over-reacting to something that sometimes just happens.
