Booked tickets for international flight in C+. Selected bulkhead seats. Ticket price dropped from $1215 each to $425. Worth paying cancellation fee and rebooking. BUT husband really wants to keep the bulkhead seats.

Called Delta last night and agent said there is a low chance I can cancel, immediately rebook and be able to grab those same seats. She said the seats don't always show as available immediately after cancellation, may take s day even.

Has anyone had luck cancelling, rebooking same flight and being able to snag the same seats?
