(1) you shouldn't DEMAND anything from Alaska Airlines (**NOT** "Alaskan")
(2) I'm reasonably sure, as others have suggested, that AS customer service will be willing to work with you to find a suitable option
(3) is your entire hotel stay non-refundable? if you just check out a day early, the resort might be willing to pro-rate the cost since they would now have an additional room available for that one night
