Whilst it seems that your travel patterns for the forthcoming year will not be significant enough for you to enjoy the benefits that the new tier has to offer (and indeed, as a Platinum member scoring an average of ~150 flights a year on AF-KL+partners, I'm quite happy with the economy comfort/extra legroom seats), the 200 miles required to reach the new status are certainly not a major hurdle and, as others have already mentioned, you would be able to make the most of Gold status in 2018, even in case of very limited activity during the year to come.
