They wrongly assume that people don't have similar plans with other supermarkets as well. We have the Tesco delivery saver (have had for a few years) but then several months ago Sainsbury's effectively paid us to take out delivery saver with them so now we have both. Probably 80% of our shops are now with Sainsbury's, mainly because their delivery drivers are professional, polite, can find our house and don't turn up late. We also get significantly fewer substitutions. We won't be renewing with Tesco and will just use them on the odd occasion we need the random things we can only get at Tesco.
We no longer get coupons from Tesco which is a shame. Sainsbury's send us annoying coupons such as "spend over £80 on
your first online shop and get £20 off". Really useful thing to receive with an online shop!
