Just got to the hotel--went from dream to nightmare--I'll let you know how this ends.

I had booked the Luxury Privilege rate (using a travel agent) of $290/night, 4th night free, $100 daily credit, lunch or dinner, etc.

When I checked in--they said the rate I had booked was $290/night--but it was the Chainwide Discount rate--no 4th night free, no F&B/spa credits, no half board--that is over $1100 difference.

And it took 30 hours to get here from California, so not fun arguing with them.

Started out amazing with Bentley pickup from the airport.

Now I don't know what to do. Only thing I can think of--24 hours after my original booking, back in early October--I moved the check in date by 1 day via my Luxury Priveleges travel agent. Also used an SNA to upgrade to St Regis suite--maybe that screwed something up.

It's been a couple hours now--very frustrating and not a relaxing way to start a vacation. (I've been frantically trying to get a hold of the travel agent--but it's getting very late back in Los Angeles)
