If you can find X/I/O space on other flights you'd like, Aeroplan can handle the rebooking, but they're not going to book you into positive space, whereas the operating airline will.

If you're flying F and AC is the late-delivering carrier, expect to fight with them. Their systems are not set up to see F inventory. Otherwise, it should be pretty easy.
