Hi Oliver and welcome to FT.

I'd highly encourage you to look at joining the air cadets, from there you can learn to glide and fly for free!

Recently we (The Red Arrows) flew several cadets in the back seats of our hawks from RAF Scampton to RAF Fairford and you may even find a career in military aviation awaits you.
