I've always been status with BA, and as such I've always transferred all my Amex points to Avios without really thinking about it.

I book quite a few flights with other oneworld airlines (e.g. airberlin/Cathay/JAL/etc) through BA though - is redeeming through BA Avios really the cheapest option for all of these?

Do prices differ between every redemption airline and every operating airline? Is there a comprehensive chart to find out the cheapest option for every scenario? Should I be transferring my Amex points somewhere else?
