Even if you accidentally walked into the main immigration hall, you can make a u-turn back to the domestic immigration.
I personally think a 1 hour separation is a bad idea. 2 hours is nice and safe.

Cx usually use an A330 and taxing off the runaway in itself takes 12-15 minutes alone after touch down usually. And then opening doors/and exiting the actual aircraft....you will be cutting it super super tight with kids in tow....I would not risk it.

I have personally been stuck at that immigration counter for 40 minutes when there were only 2 counters open and a hell of a lot of passengers coming off regional/international flights trying to get on to domestic flights.

I don't anticipate problems to be honest at the immigration line BUT, if you happen to arrive at the wrong time....

1-flight is on time and OP already has connecting flight tickets.
2-goes straight to the train across to the main terminal building where domestic flights depart from
3-Go straight down to the immigration clearance and through airport secruity and directly to langkawi gate.

If no connecting tickets, the connecting desk is directly in front of the exit from airport security and immigration. Go there and get the tickets asap.

And go to your gate asap. Gates A are 50 meters-150 meters closer to the connecting desk. Gates B are about 100 meters-400 meters in the opposite direction.

Play safe, take an earlier flight. KLIA was never designed sadly back then for connectivity and time saving.
