It worked for my booking in Thailand for Feb as well but the savings after discount was minimal and certainly not 15% compared to making a booking on Agoda (similar booking terms, prepaid but still possible to cancel until approx 1 week before). The main advantage for me would the possibility to pay now to hedge against further USD exchange rate increase whereas Agoda payment will be made shortly before the stay.
