I've stayed at both and was top elite in each chain when I did so. Mind you, it's been a few years since I was at the Ren. I strongly preferred the Sheraton. The Ren is the old style arium property. I was upgraded to a nice suite at the Sheraton and had access to the lounge. Be aware that the Sheraton has a towers side, considered a hotel within a hotel. You can only stay on that side if you pay for it. We toured it and I was perfectly content to stay on the less expensive side.
