Fantastic fries. More like potato wedges. The burger had a really nice taste perhaps due to the herbs and seasoning. I watched them prepare it for someone else and decided that would be a great mid-flight treat. I think because the potatoes have a little oil on them, they cook to a perfect crisp.
This was BR 36, TPE-YYZ. The fries were somewhat different on BR 15 LAX-TPE.
CX also has the mid-flight burger. It has a slightly more gourmet-type bun and better cheese and the Heinz ketchup comes in a cute little bottle and for you pickle fans out there, a pickle spear on top. No fries, just a bag of potato chips.
Interesting differences in J cabin mid-flight snacks that I've seen on long-haul international and/or TPAC flights on AC vs AA, BR, CX. AA wins for sheer volume and display. AC has a decent offering to NRT.
