I guess three possible approaches, namely they will fill the aircraft based on the World Traveller product, some lucky travellers will just get better seating as can happen anyway; alternatively the involvement of local tourism outfit means that journalists and other stakeholders are being shipped in as part of this effort; finally there will be a separate and later sale process for WTP/CW/First.

Well this is my question too, though a February short weekend is probably the only time they can have a rig sitting around doing little. They won't have another crew deadheading to MSY, so it can't leave immediately, the crew who do go can't return until they have had a night's sleep, and you're running out time for the return. So logistically, and again so unBA, I suspect some lucky crew are going to be given a 3 nighter over Mardi Gras.

I did have a think as to what would this package look like if it was priced via more conventional channels. And, taking the Hampton which costs £100 a night in normal times, it's essentially a £800 package per head or thereabouts, not taking into account the MG / peak period uplift.

Incidentally the BA account on eBay was created on 31 October 2016.
