Are you sure the $6500 is not AA metal or Biz? From what I know, JL doesn't sell discounted F and usually their RT Normal F fares range between $15K and $20K depending on destination. Also, based on recent experience, JL usually has 2 sets of infant fares - non-refundable and refundable and it could be that AA only has access to the refundable one so the higher quote.
