I've seen QR's website throw up all kinds of married segments as valid connections, with layovers up to 35-36 hours in HIA these days. Even on routes that have multiple daily flights onwards.
I have only attempted to get a bag through on 18-20 hourrs layover, with no issues, thats on the same ticket as married segments.
I would guess that it all depends on how the OP's ticket is sold. If it is the same ticket and married segments and all QR, then I'm pretty sure they will accomodate it.
If it is an official break in the routing, then I'm less sure how it would be handled, but I would hazard a 50-50 chance in biz as a gold/platinum, and little to no chance for any other combo of cabin and card.
