Class codes on credit card payments?
Looking through my credit card statements, it would seem that the travel class appears - but not always as expected. For example, the layout on the statement is something like:
<trans. date> BRITISH A <ticket#> <booking method> <price charged>
<payment date> <currency>
<local price> X <exchange rate>
<travel date> 1 <code> <dep> <arr>
2 <code> <dep> <arr>
3 <code> <dep> <arr>
4 <code> <dep> <arr>
- which gives up to 4 sectors (1-4). However, I've noticed that open jaw tickets seem to have a ghost-sector with an 'S' as the code, and while the codes usually reflect that of each sector (e.g. 'T' 'P' etc) not always (I have a 'T' TATL that shows up as 'Q'.
So question is, are the codes that show up on the credit card statement a true reflection of the ticket booked?
