No trains to Ithaca. You can take Greyhound, and Megabus or Bolt Bus may serve Ithaca too--I'm not sure. It's been 30 years since I had to take public transit to that town

If it's Cornell graduation weekend then I certainly hope you have your accommodations lined up already. That weekend sells out years in advance. There are far fewer hotel rooms in town than graduating students.
