Just be thankful it is Obama staying there, mind you Donald Trump staying at the Adlon as President in the future, he might rebuild the Berlin Wall and a Trump Tower during his stay.

On a more serious note -- totally frustrating for you. Although this level of security is understandable, they should give other guests the heads up or require a buy-out. But I never found Adlon's management to be very classy or reliable.
