Award ticket cancellation
Booked in April for Dec trip and now need to cancel. Departure time has inched up from 9 AM to 6:45 AM. Arrival time stable. I don't mind "paying" the 3k points to cancel, but if the departure time change can save me those, I'd be grateful. Thoughts? Wasn't sure if I should even press it.
Also, I transferred MR into ANA for this ticket. Once these points are "redeposited" to ANA upon cancellation, do I have 36 months since time of original deposit from Amex or does the ticket somehow alter how long I have to use the points?
