Does anyone have any experience with using a non-US APEC business travel card to avoid having to get a visa when traveling for tourism? I guess this is somewhat similar to using a business visa when traveling for tourism, which I also don't have any experience with. Is this an absolute no-go or is this something that usually doesn't lead to any issues?

I'll be traveling with my partner who is from Mexico and she will get this card soon because her work takes her to SE Asia often, and we will be traveling through a few countries there next year, and it would be nice for her to not have to get a bunch of visas.
