My acct doesn't have a PQD requirement for premier gold. However, it still does show my PQD, which is currently at $1628. Not that I'm complaining, but that's a lot less than the $6000 PQD requirement for gold. Something just doesn't make sense to me.
The online card automatically updates every year, it has no relation to the physical card. The physical card you receive will be valid until Jan 2018 (however it might still have the 2016 design, as opposed to the 2017 design - I don't know when they switch designs).
I also see the PQD counter despite being exempt, nothing strange about being able to see it, especially since it could become relevant if you ever switch locations.
