I think 24 hours is the limit btw, I had a 23 hour stopover in old DOH once (wanted to see the city, that was plenty) and they kept my bag since I asked them to.

Was that at Hamad, the new airport? Or the old airport?

I've seen that that was possible at the old airport but indications are that it now can't be done at Hamad International Airport.

I know this is an unusual question. But the great thing about FT is that our community is so big that there's usually bound to be someone who has done everything in the book.
