Lost $100 on hotel deposit refund because of pesos plunge
I used my Amex card to make a deposit on a hotel in Mexico using the Small Luxury Hotel website. While the deposit was totally refundable I didn't count on the pesos' plunge over the last 6 months.....consequently when I was refunded the deposit to my Amex card it was for $840 and not the $936 which was the original deposit amount.

Who to talk to? Amex? SLH? The hotel?

Or chock it up to bad timing of the pesos conversion rate.
