I, too, look for at least 400 sq. ft., although I suspect that's larger than the average hotel room.

I find it interesting that having the larger space is so much more comforting for many of us, even though many of us walk into a hotel room, throw our bags on the floor, go to sleep in the bed, wake up, take a shower, and then leave. A much smaller room is more than adequate for all this, yet I still look for, and pay extra for, larger rooms.
