They have actually slightly improved the food offering in AMS. If you want to trawl back through previous AMS lounge posts over the last 5 years or so, you will see references to the cup-a-soup scandal, the nothing-but-crisps dénouement, the two stale sarnies contre-temps and so on. By BRU/GVA standards this lounge doesn't do well on the food offering - fewer complaints about drinks - but it's still better than it was, it is better than (e.g.) Frankfurt, and I certainly wouldn't want to trade it for the nearby KLM longhaul lounge. The Aspire lounge next door has similar, maybe slightly better offerings, but it's actually provided by the same company. I've always assumed the Dutch, like the Norwegians, don't really do lounges....
