I have only been on four LH intra-Europe flights in the last couple of years - from memory, the business cabin did have a dark blue curtain (I can't recall if it was pulled across or not) and nobody from economy wandered up front (although this may have happened and I didn't notice at the time due to the wonderful german beer they served on board!).

And yes, in any case, QF and VA are trying for a different product than typical European airline / services.
