hey guys,

booked a flight from HKG to MEL next year

HKG to SIN SQ 863 (arrive sin at 6pm)
and then connecting SQ 237 (depart sin at 11:45pm). There is another flight SQ 227 departing around 9pm.

Has anyone had experiences where SQ put them on an earlier flight upon request at check in if there is availability?
