I think OP may have meant "knock"off.
But in reviewing usage, both "ripoff" and "knockoff" can be used to mean "copy" per dictionary.com, with "knockoff" also being used to mean an "unlicensed copy". So maybe knockoff is more appropriate here depending on what OP was implying. "Ripoff" is generally used in a more derogatory vein, but "knockoff" can also be used to denote a copy which is inferior to the original.
