T-Mobile in the UK was bought by EE years ago. EE shows up as either EE or T-Mobile depending on which tower and/or band you are connected to.
Tmobile shows up as MCC 234 MNC 30
EE shows up as MCC 234 MNC 33
tried forcing it on EE< but it gets bounced back to Tmobile LTE. it always says tmobile (LTE)
nexus phone doesn't allow band selection (or identify connected band?). i guess it's just a naming thing, because from what I've seen, tmobile name is retired and EE should be the proper name for everything (network, stores, ...)
maybe I should configure my phone to roam on either EE or Tmobile... been camped directly on Tmobile only at the moment, usually fine (lose signal underground/tube as expected)
