I haven't been on a E170, but the E175 definitely has bins on both sides of the aircraft. In F, the starboard side has deeper bins that will fit a regular bag straight in. The port side bins are only good for laptop bags. In E, both sides will fit regular bags sideways (length along the fuselage direction)
E70 and E75 have the same bin configuration. F is a mini-bin on the A-side (fits briefcase or laptop), and a full-size (like 737-size) bin on the D-side which fits a standard rollaboard put in wheels first. Y has half-bins on each side which will fit standard rollaboards placed sideways (long dimension along the plane).
